Wisdom comes not from knowing or expecting from without, but from trusting and believing from within. There are those who do research, and those who live it. There are those who project, and those who merely observe. We must remember that if we allow what we see around us to impact our mental or emotional state, we are letting go of our own inner wisdom and power. I write this message at a time of seeming unrest. But what we need to remember is this: how we choose to perceive CHANGES what we see, sense, and absorb.
My birthday is 9/11, and for many years following “the incident,” people would express their condolences for my having been born on that day. I used to feel hurt and a little ashamed, but then I witnessed all the firemen hugging, the people gathering, the healing that came from it. I understood that I needed to focus on what was positive and, more importantly, what was possible. My new perception came from a completely different lens and focus. I saw collaboration, camaraderie, growth, expansion, and a fresh start with a sense of pride. I saw that I could either perceive my birthday as an example of destruction or a NEW BEGINNING.
In essence, what’s most important is OUR FOCUS. When we focus on LOVE, that is what we perceive and what we thus project. When the spinning, whirling thoughts and opinions of others surround you and wrap you in fear, concern and worry, step away from it. YOU make the choice. Choose the wisdom that comes from within – and the perspective that comes from a place of LOVE.
Much peace and love to all,
