Looking for Love?

February is Love Month (thanks, Hallmark). And so, to be completely cliche, I am choosing to follow the hearts suit because:

1. Who and what we love (or not) is a hot topic right now.

2. We need to consider that regardless of what is happening, love is always all around us if and when we choose to focus on it.

Case in point.  Here’s something cool.  Above is a collage of a number of different hearts that manifested themselves merely by my asking.  You might call it crazy or totally woo-woo, but I call it Divine.

Here’s why: These hearts appeared in and around my environment in various forms and ways, all but one within a three day time span… right after I began considering how to approach the topic of love.  Mere coincidence?  I now believe there is no such thing.  According to G.K. Chesterton, “Coincidences are spiritual puns.”  When the universe is working with us, things (and hearts) do fall into place.  But, it is up to us to allow.

My point in all this, my friends, is that love is what you make of it.  If you are feeling unloved, focus on those things that bring you self-love – your pets, nature, music, cooking – whatever invokes inspiration from within.  If you are angry, upset, discouraged with the universe or another human being specifically, send love their/its way.

Remember: If we carry within us any inkling of hate, vengeance, or negative judgment, that is what we will, in most cases, manifest.  On the other hand, if we fill ourselves with love from the inside and send it outward, that is what we manifest.

This is difficult to do initially, but if we practice this consistently, our perspective on the world can and will change drastically.

My recommendation – Practice this (it takes 5 minutes or less):
Be still for just a moment.  Breathe in and out and relax your body.  Envision a place, time, situation where you felt the utmost joy and happiness (love), and be fully present in that moment. Fill your core, your heart, your spirit and soul with the sights, smells, sounds and other sensations from that moment.  Now project it outward through your crown and, if you are able, send it in the form of light to any person (people), situation or things that have stimulated negative feelings.  Express your gratitude for all that you have, that you are, and for all the lessons you learn daily.

If so inclined, journal this:
Write down 15 things that you want and deserve in a loving relationship.  If you are in a relationship, and things are wonky, this will help greatly!  If you are looking for a long-term partner, this works!  (It’s how I met my husband)

And then allow…

Much love to all of you reading this.  Thank you so much for taking the time to do so.  Remember we are the change we wish to see in this world (Ghandi).

Much love,
Jess
