What is Karuna Reiki®?

“Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is translanted to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could also be translated as “compassionate action.” When individuals experience enlightenment, they report that all beings are known as one. Therefore, it is natural to extend compassionate action or Karuna to everyone without distinction because we are all one.

In the same way that you would want to heal your own wounds, you would also want the wounds of others to heal.

Karuna is the motivating quality of all enlightened beings who are working to end suffering on Earth. They continually send an unlimited amount of healing energy and guidance to us, but not all are receptive to it. As you develop Karuna in yourself, not only are you helping others, but you also become more receptive to the Karuna that is being sent by all enlightened beings. Thus your healing is quickened as well.

Karuna Reiki® opens you to work more closely with all enlightened beings. This includes those enlightened ones who are physically present as well as those in spirit.”

What is the difference between Holy Fire®Mastery and Karuna Reiki® Certification?

The energy of Holy Fire® is exactly as it sounds. This energy is a supplemental energy to the standard Reiki Mastery in that it incorporates the Christ Consciousness. In other words, when used, the energies of the Divine Masculine come through – the energies of action and release (fire). Often Jesus, Buddha, Archangel Michael, etc. come through. As it flows through your hands it is hot, like a flame. In Holy Fire® there are no attunements per say, instead there are ignitions wherein the teacher allows Spirit to work directly through the participants with visualizations, physical sensations – it is a notable (and often indescribable) energetic upgrade. There are only two symbols to learn in this course: The Master symbol and the Holy Fire.

The Karuna Reiki® energy is that of the Divine Feminine light of compassion and grace. It is a subtle, deeper-digging energy of healing from the inside out. Often the energies of Mother Mary, Kuanyin (Avalokiteśvara in Sanskrit), Mary Magdalene, Isis, etc. bring messages of love and peace. There are 8 symbols within the Karuna Reiki, along with the Tibetan Reiki symbols.

Again, healing work is not about any one given religion, it is not black or white, right or wrong. It is about energy and healing from the soul space no matter what our foundational belief systems may be. All Reiki is rooted in love and light, non-judgment and pure intention.
