The theme of passion (strong emotion) and purpose (truly knowing and doing what fills us with happiness from the inside out) has been resurfacing for the past month, at least. And here is why we (I!!) need to pay attention! Our passion is directly related to our life’s purpose. If we practice regularly those things in life that bring us joy, and/or come naturally to us, we will understand what abundance truly means. Abundance is not about what we have; abundance is about what we ARE.
See, when we don’t follow our passions, we feel lost, isolated, victimized, down, depressed. We feel lack. But that is not who we are at our core. And it is most definitely not why we are here. We are here to spread joy and light. We are here TO BE HAPPY.
So, here is what I would recommend doing to remember WHO YOU ARE and perhaps what your role is, naturally, intuitively, instinctively as God, Source, the Divine, our Higher Power intended.
Grab a piece of paper or your journal and answer the following questions:
1. What is it you are truly passionate about? Rate them on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most awesome and invigorating).
2. How many of them are you practicing regularly?
3. What can you be changing or shifting in your life to fulfill these passions?
One more final suggestion, and something that I do every morning and night as a reminder to myself of how much abundance I have (as I am apt to forget). Be GRATEFUL for those things that bring you joy as well as the lessons that provide you wisdom. It is through all experiences in life that we learn the greater meaning of the universe at large and, more importantly, why we are here.
With that, please know that I am passionate about all of you reading this and am grateful that you are taking the time to do so. There is so much this life has to offer, and I’m glad to be sharing it with you. Thank you, thank you.
Love, light, peace (and Happy Father’s Day, dads!),
Jess
